Limited Edition SDxTarmac Sung's First FD RX-7 1:64 SDxTarmac 1:64 Ultra Detail Die Cast.

The 2nd Tarmac Works x StudentDriver collab model is the Mazda RX-7 FD3S that has been very close to Sung Kang’s heart.

And here’s what Sung said about the FD:

"The 1993 Mazda RX-7 FD has been such an important car in my life. The FD represents my past, my dreams, and my future.

Let me explain, in 1994 my parents bought me a 1993 Mazda RX-7 in hopes I would go to law school and not pursue my dream to be an actor. I loved that car. It was the touring package, with sunroof, Bose cobra speakers and tan interior. I would spend time alone detailing it and just stare at her. She was my friend and helped me find peace in my life .

Of course I did not go to law school and had to park the car in storage unable to afford drive her around. A couple years later I sold my beloved FD on Auto Trader and used that money for the payment on a small house in Hollywood. It was a tough decision but she was rotting away, better she was driven by someone who could afford to maintain her. Then in 2006 Fast and Furious Tokyo drift came along.

My beloved FD came back into my life. This time fully decked out in a Veilside body kit. As they say- the rat is history. It’s odd how certain cars become a part of life and represent the good and tough times in our journey. The FD has always been there for me."
